Welcome To Tribal Weave Rugs
Tribal Weave Rugs
Where are the rugs from?
These rugs come from the rural regions of independent republics to the west of the former Soviet Union: Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan. A few hail from the Fars province of southwestern Iran.
Who makes them?
As their ruggedness suggests, they are made by nomadic people whose custom it is to live out of tents with these rugs as ground covers. Their value therefore stems not so much from their being very finely made, but from their unique ethnic tribal designs, their boldness and their long-wearing qualities.
